Football Manager 2008 announced.

August is coming, and that’s mean that the new season of soccer is going to begin soon. For the football simulation games fan, Football Manager 2008 is going to release soon, just before Christmas 2007.

FM 2008 has a lot of tweaks and improvements over FM 2007. SIgames took suggestions from the fans of this series and improve on them. Thank you, SIgames.

New Features of FM 2008 

Match Flow

The new match day features include a more comprehensive pre-match analysis, besides odds prediction and key man for each team, milestones for each team is included in FM 2008. Team Talk and Tactics are improved with better choices. The new post match analysis features a short summary of the performance of each team and key player during the match. The main improvement in the match flow is the seamless process. You no longer need to wait if you need to make substitutions or major tactical changes, now the now process work as one.

International Management 

The international management has been revamped by SI, it features all media interaction, squad selection, international retirement, a separate morale for club and national team, captain selection, international scouting and pool selection.

Easier to Use

The interface is about the same, but it looks better than before. The new advisor system has players through the new system in FM 2008. There will be a new notes and notebook system, better button positioning and and updated tutorials and manual to help gamers through the game. The new calendar system is a welcome by the fans as it really helps to ease the process of planning throughout the game.

Confidence 

The new comprehensive confidence system allows you to see the happiness level of your performance from the management level to the supporters level. You can find out how they feel about each and every decisions you make and the matches you played.

Transfer Centre

A new transfer centre allows you to have a bird eye view of the transfer and contract process. It makes it easier for you to compare and decide a new price for anything.

Improved match engine

A greatly improved match engine, Ray Houghton and tools used by the real life managers helps in building a better simulation of football management in front of you. You can change the pitch dimensions before the season start to suit to your playing style.

Awards rewrite 

The new awards system featuring new awards such as the European Golden Boot and the Best Eleven in your team.

Finances revamped 

There will be more information available to the manager, including the corporate match day income, season ticket news, investment funds, improved sponsorships, collective win bonuses, and the ability to move around funds from the wage budget and transfer budget (and vice versa) at any point to help you in managing your team better.

Fan Day

The board can arrange fan day to attract new fans to aid in the attendance for club’s matches. If it works well, the long term effects will be good.

Expanded Media

More exciting interactions with the media, and a new competition news section to find out what major things are going around the leagues and competitions.

Regenerated Player Photo

Players’ face are now generated using the FaceGen technology, it gives the players more interactions and feelings. You can see the players’ growth as you play the game.

Faster

Saving game and loading will be significantly faster than the previous versions. Network gaming will be smoother too.
