Having played this for a while i have a few players who become good. I had a Man Utd team that won the league 7 years in a row. Players i think are good are

Benoit Costil (GK) - Is young and very cheap at start (between £10k and £50k) plays for Caen, not the best stats at first but tutor him well and give him some loans and he becomes world class in his early 20’s

Omar Esparza (DL, DM, AMLC) - 18 year old Mexican who is versatile and develops into a goalscoring midfielder. Can pick him up for about £3m-£4m

Jose Luis Silva (AMC) - 15 year old at the start of the game and i had him tutored when i got him for £250k. Becomes very good in his early 20’s.

Gareth Bale (DL) - Pick him up for £2m roughly. Is ready to play at that age depending on who you managing. I sent him out on loan for a couple of seasons and after that he was fantastic. Good at crossing and set pieces.

Fernando Torres (SC) - Although not cheap he is probably the best striker on the game. I got him for Inter when Adriano sodded off to Chelsea. He and Ibrahimovich scored 74 goals between them in his first season.

Lasse Qvist (SC) - For a lower league club like the championship club he is a good signing, can be nurtured into a good player. Available for about £50k

I got of my Havant & W file so I decided to create a new one with Man Utd. The only major thing I did with the team was clear the debt, add some more money and put Fergie as my assistant. I then was about to send my scouts out when I found out that one of them has a report on a 14 year old that plays for Marsielle. And Fergie said he has potential to be the next Wayne Rooney. I was gob smacked lol.
Anyone got anymore tips just tell me coz I really need some good players lol

Am/FC Jon wright-phillips (next geff hurst also comes in 2011)
AML kevin idrissi (dutch wonderkid)
AMLRC Wignaldum (dutch wonderkid has a avg rating of 8.33 for me)
GK Geissler (next oliver kahn from man city academy)
GK Dave robinson (from fulham academy)
AMC Bbosa (from barca academy)

try stealing youngsters from spanish clubs

when ever I try to play rooney for england it says suspended since begining of game why is dat?

now i cant find proper youth
i started another game & signed millan but i can’t send him affliate please help

on my football manager career i started as havant & waterlooville.
ill admit i gave them some money and a few players like Pique and lupoli.
i have then brought players like joe hart and michael carrick to me.
i am now 2nd in Coca-Cola League 1 with a promotion every season.
i would recommend players like Bojan (ST) and Vito Mannone (GK)

Great striker is Henri Saivet - at the beginning of the game 16 years old, in Bordeaux, scores a lots of goals in every single team he plays for.
Midfielders: Rafael van der Vaart, expensive, but excellent. Celsinho (young, cheap, Locomotiv Moscow).
Defenders: Andrea Barzagli (Palermo), Marek Suchy (young, very cheap, in Slavia Prague, he is capable to play for great teams).

Players that i reccomend:

John Arne Riise (Consistent, up his shooting and he will score many)
Hugo Viana (Gamble but play him correctly and he will get many assists)
Sol Campbell (Old but solid, practically bulletproof)
Artur Boruc (Good stats for a few mil)
Jacek Bak (Old but good for lower league team)
