Football Manager 2009 Features release!

SI Games has released the news on the new features for Football Manager 2009 as well as Football Manger Handheld 2009 for PSP. This time, they did it on video. The video is right below. You can watch it or you can read my summary below these videos.

Firstly, let’s summarise the new features for Football Manager Handheld 2009 for PSP.

The new version allows multiple leagues from other countries now. Previously, it was impossible. They have added 2 new skins to add to the variety of interfaces. I guess the hottest feature is the 2D match engine ported from the PC/Mac version over to PSP. You can choose to watch the full field mode or partial field mode.

Now, for the Football Manger 2009 PC/Mac version.

This new version is definitely exciting. The new System Manager Feedback gives you feedback on your players’ motivation as well as your general tactics. You can grab tips from this new features to counter your opponent’s tactics and improve on yours!

The media has been playing an important role to football scene in the recent years. Now you are able to do press conferences in the game and answer series of questions posted by the media and what you answer will have a effect on your team and yourself. The virtual journalists can remember what you said, so be tactful!

Training will always be an important part of the game. Now you can assign your players to learn specific skills, such as cross overs or free kicks.

What’s more is that you can choose to become a female manager, if you are not female. Not exactly a big introduction.

Improvements on the current system is always something that we are looking forward to. This new version has several big improvements to the game, so let’s check it out!

Your board of directors will have better feedback on your club performance on or off field. You can receive more advices from them now.

The game database incorporates 51 countries’ leagues now and there are more than 350,000 players and staffs in the game database at the moment of video press release.

The revised financal modelling is definitely a good improvement to have.

The interface will be improved as well. Now they have added wide screen support so you can play on your wide screen TV or LCD monitors!

The new match engine is definitely something to look forward to, as they have ported the match engine from Football Manager Live over to the standard FM. It shall be more realistic and more exciting. The live view of match is now 3D! You can watch the match ongoing just like you are watching those real matches on TV now. However, if you want to watch it from bird-eye view, you can still do that! Don’t worry! They have also added time bar which allows you to control choose which part of the game you want to rewatch. Very cool! Another cool feature is a TV view, which allows you to watch the match in FULL SCREEN and add widgets to the screen so you can see statistics or player rating on the go. NICE!

EA’s next installment to the Need For Speed franchise is going to be released on 18 November in North America and 21 November for Europe.

Need for Speed Underground will features similar gameplay to its predecessor, Most Wanted. The game will include underground racing, car chases and highway races.

This time, the leading actress of the game is Maggie Q (above).

Maggie Q will play the role of Agent Chase Linh, who manages players as they race to overthrow an international crime syndicate.

Well, she does look like an undercover. Don’t you agree?

Call of Duty 5 : World at War Trailer

The trailer for the new Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty 5 : World at War is up on the net.

COD5 is back to the setting of World War. There are katanas in the game, so you know where it is set.
