The BlizzCon is a huge event for the Blizzard staffs and games fans, but only a minority get to attend this conference, which is held in the US. Gamers from other nations only get to read the information posted on websites and forums.
I chanced upon the BlizzCon Northrend Panel on youtube, it is the entire length of the presentation, and most of the part of the Q&A session. The panel took around 60 minutes, so if you have the time to watch and wanted feel the awe with the fans out there, watch this.

Features implemented in version 2.1.x
1. Black Temple (End-game raid)
2. Daily Quest (put the China’s gold farmers out of business)
Upcoming features
1. Integrated voice chat system

Wrath of the Lich King
1. Northrend is introduced in Warcraft III
2. Northrend is located above and between Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms
3. Allows interaction with Arthas for all players (not only end game raids)
4. Level cap rised to 80
5. New character class: Death Knight
6. Siege weapon and destructible building
7. New Profession : “Inscription” – able to improve your spells with effects and improves damage, etc
8. New creatures, items, dungeons.
9. Ability to change your hairstyle, but not your face (plastic surgery may implement in next expansion (joke))
10. 2 entry points to Northrend (Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra), 2 ways to start the quests chain in expansion.
11. 2 other zones: Grizzly Hills and Dragonblight
12. Captial City: Dalaran; moved from Eastern Kingdoms to Northrend. Accessible by flying mount or taking a lift on the ground. Located in the centre of Northrend continent
PVP Improvements
1. Siege Weapons, Destructible building. More honours for more building blown up
2. New battleground, gameplay around 30 to 40 minutes, 15 players a side
3. New arena seasons, gears and maps
4. Non instanced PVP zone, PvE servers’ players are able to access this zone for PvP : Lake Wintergrasp
